A.V.Fistula Needle

An arteriovenous (AV) fistula needle is a medical device used for accessing an AV fistula or graft, which is a surgically created connection between an artery and a vein. This connection is made to facilitate hemodialysis, a life-saving treatment for individuals with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) whose kidneys can no longer effectively filter waste products from their blood.

The AV fistula needle is specifically designed to penetrate the skin and cannulate the fistula or graft, allowing the blood to flow out of the body and into the hemodialysis machine. This machine then filters the blood, removing waste products and excess fluids, before returning it to the patient’s body.
